Questions about “insider trading” in daily fantasy sports has sparked much media attention and lots of questions. U.S. Senator Robert Menendez headlined a press conference that was held outside of MetLife Stadium on Tuesday to talk about the issues with these sites. News stories came out recently about employees from the one of the sites using internal information to win big sums of money on another site. Menendez said these daily fantasy sports sites should be governed by laws that regulate other forms of gambling. He also said that people expect that things are on the up and up and the public’s trust can’t become betrayed, especially when it comes to these big sums of money.
