New Jersey will get more representation in Washington D.C. U.S. Senator Robert Menendez, Chair of the Banking Subcommittee on Housing, Transportation, and Community Development, was appointed to serve on the Surface Transportation Conference Committee, which is charged with negotiating the final surface transportation bill with the House of Representatives. The House passed its own shell transportation bill last week and has yet to name members to the Conference Committee.
