President Barack Obama has officially moved to take Cuba off the terrorist list. U.S. Senator Robert Menendez has been critical of Obama’s move to have increased relations with Cuba. Menendez has again stressed his feelings. One of the issues Menendez cited in the past was Cuba harboring cop-killer Joanne Chesimard. She was sentenced to life in prison for killing a state trooper in 1973. Just two years ago, she was number one of the FBI’s list for most wanted terrorists. Chesimard was able to safely stay in Cuba and hasn’t been brought to justice. Menendez had wanted the return of Chesimard to be apart of the negotiations.
