First it was Senate President Steve Sweeney try to end the referee lockout in the NFL, now U.S. Senators Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez are pushing for the NHL lockout to come to an end. A letter was penned by the two saying that they would keep an eye on the labor talks and noted that Congress oversees the NHL. Lautenberg and Menendez went on the say that millions of dollars in being lost in Newark because the Devils are not playing.
