Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo doesn’t think Gov. Chris Christie’s priorities are in the right place. Mazzeo released a statement on Monday regarding the inaction in Atlantic City by the governor. “Gov. Christie appointed an Emergency Manager to provide realistic solutions to combat the budgetary problems Atlantic City is facing, but two self-imposed deadlines later all Atlantic County residents have seen is hundreds of thousands of taxpayers’ dollars wasted with no proposed solutions in sight. Mr. Lavin’s March report offered nothing new. In June – when real solutions were supposed to be presented – we saw nothing. “The governor may mostly be in New Hampshire, but we’re still here working to bring new jobs and investment to our region to provide tax relief for our hard-working middle-class families and businesses” Mazzeo went on to say he wants Christie to sign the tax stabilization bill into law because that will help Atlantic City today.
