MAZZEO STILL IN THE LEAD WITH LATEST RECOUNT EFFORT

The latest recount in the 2nd district Assembly race still give Vince Mazzeo the lead over incumbent over Assembly John Amodeo. Recounting efforts at the end of Tuesday provided Mazzeo with a 39 vote margin, with a little more than a couple of dozen votes left. Amodeo could still tangle the election up in court. Gov. Chris Christie criticized Amodeo and his running mate Assemblyman Chris Brown for having over $100,000 left in their campaign count in such a close election.
