The mayor of Fort Lee had a sit down with Governor Chris Christie on Thursday afternoon and accepted his apology. Mayor Mark Sokolich says Christie was very cordial, and he had a productive meeting with the Governor. Christie denied knowing any decisions made by his staff to intentionally force a traffic jam in Fort Lee as alleged political retribution. Sokolich also said that he took the Governor at his word as Christie again stated he knew nothing about the plan to snarl traffic, first hand.
