Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian announced this week that he’s received conflicting information regarding the start of a beach fill project in his city’s south end. Gillian issued a statement on Thursday saying now the beach fill project may not start until after Labor Day, well into hurricane season. Gillian initially informed the city that the beach fill project would begin in March. Gillian says he’s contacted various high level offices in an an attempt to get an answer on when the beach fill project will actually start.
