On Wednesday Matt Szczur made his return to the Chicago Cubs after being called up from their Triple-A Iowa team earlier this week. Szczur, a graduate of Lower Cape May Regional H.S., entered the game against St. Louis Wednesday night as a pinch-runner in the ninth inning. He remained in the game to play left field but did not bat, as the Cubs beat the Cardinals 6-5.
