A former standout football player at Lower Cape May Regional High School was involved in five touchdown plays Saturday as Villanova defeated Appalachian State, 41-24 in an NCAA Division I-AA playoff football game. Matt Szczur ran for three touchdowns, threw for one, and caught a touchdown pass in the game to lead the Wildcats to a playoff victory. Szczur rushed for 104 yards, and caught five passes for 45 yards in the game. Villanova now advances to the national semifinals.
