A North Wildwood city councilman has changed his mind, and now will run in the next council election, but this time as an independent. Robert Maschio, who currently serves North Wildwood as a republican councilman in the First Ward, announced Tuesday that he has submitted a petition to run as an independent in the November election. Maschio stated via a press release that he received an overwhelming amount of encouragement to seek re-election after he announced his decision not to run again. Maschio has served on the city council in North Wildwood since 2006.
Maschio is the owner and operator of Coastal Broadcasting Systems, which operates radio stations WCZT and WFNE.
