A 29 year-old Maryland man died Tuesday at Cooper University Hospital after attempting a rescue of his nephew after hours on Sunday. Adan Guevara, of Rosedale, Md., attempted to rescue his nephew from a rip current on the Garfield Avenue beach after 7 p.m. when the lifeguards were off duty. Three people were pulled from the water after a 911 call and Guevara was resuscitated by emergency personnel before being taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he died on Tuesday.
