Officials with the Marine Mammal Stranding Center say the whale that washed ashore in Brigantine last week was likely killed by a vessel strike. Center officials say the whale suffered blunt trauma injuries consistent with a vessel strike. Some have called for all work being done in advance of a wind energy farm to stop, thinking the seven recent whale deaths were attributed to that particular work.
