A victory for Margate in its battle to prevent dunes from being built. A federal court on Monday ruled in favor of Margate and decided to issue a temporary restraining order to stop the state and the federal governments from building protective sand dunes in the community. Margate filed suit in a federal court to stop the project. Margate officials say the beach provides adequate protection against future storms.
