Residents returning to Margate City along the causeway were stunned when they were charged the $1.50 toll at the entrance to the city. After numerous complaints, the owners of Downbeach Express, who operate the toll plaza, suspended all toll collections until 6 P.M. on Sunday. Downbeach Express says they will donate all toll revenue collected on Thursday to the Red Cross.
