MANY USING PRESCRIPTION DRUG CARDS FROM CAPE MAY COUNTY

Huge success has been seen from a prescription drug card program in Cape May County. The Cape May County Rx Card has been used to lower costs on over 15,000 prescription medications since July 2010. The Cape May County Rx Card is available to everyone, regardless of income, age or insurance status. There is no application to complete and there are no claim forms to file. Simply show your Cape May County Rx Card along with a valid prescription at a participating pharmacy to receive the discount. Freeholder Gerald Thornton told Coastal Broadcasting there is no cost to the taxpayers for running the program because the county get $1 every time the card is used which helps cover administrative costs.
