Tuesday is Veteran’s Day and many local communities will be honoring their vets with special ceremonies. The annual Cape May County Veterans’ Day Ceremony will be observed at 2 p.m. at the County Veterans Cemetery at 129 Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House. Freeholder Director Thornton will speak along with other veterans and dignitaries, along with a Ceremonial Flag Detail. North Wildwood VFW Post 5941 will hold their ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Veterans Monument at New York & Spruce Avenues. Services will be held at 11 a..m. in Avalon, Cape May, and Sea Isle City. The Historical Preservation Society of Upper Township will hold a special program at their branch of the county library at 7:30 p.m. with local residents giving firsthand accounts of WWII battles.
