Ventnor Police arrested a 53 year-old black man with a pit bull for an attempted robbery. Saleem Ali was charged with burglary after he allegedly entered an apartment on the 200 block of N. Princeton Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Police responded to a call from the victim who locked himself in a bedroom. Police were able to track down Ali on Monmouth Avenue and arrested him without incident. The dog was taken by animal control.
