A man was injured while swimming in a freshwater pond in Lower Township. Police received a phone call and arrived on scene to find the 28-year-old victim had already been pulled from the water by his friends. The Lower Township Rescue Squad and Paramedics arrived on scene. He was admitted to Atlantic City Medical Center in the Intensive Care Unit. Police say his current address is a hotel on the 500 block of Atlantic Ave. in Wildwood Crest. The person who called the incident in said the man hurt himself diving into shallow water at Lepor’s Pits and striking his head.
