MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED AFTER VEHICLE VS. PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT

A man received serious injuries after walking into traffic. Egg Harbor Township Police say that James Marcel (67 years of age from Atlantic City), walked into a lane of travel for an unknown reason and was struck by Andres Serrano’s vehicle. The 19-year-old driver was not charged in the accident. Marcel was treated at the scene by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and AtlantiCare Paramedics. He was transported to AtlantiCare City Campus Trauma Center for serious injuries. Traffic was detoured on the Black Horse Pike in the area of King Pin Lanes for two hours.
