A Middlesex County man entered a guilty plea on Tuesday to third-degree attempted endangering the welfare of a child. He was arrested on Aug. 20, 2010, as a result of engaging in sexually explicit conversations during the month of July, with an undercover officer whom the defendant thought was a 14-year-old girl, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel announced.
Victor A. Attia, 57, of 42 Wilmot Street in East Brunswick, faces up to five years in prison when he is sentenced on a date to be set at a later time. Attia will be subject to parole supervision for life and must register as a Megan’s Law offender. An Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted him on Oct. 19, 2010, according to Assistant Prosecutor Janet Gravitz, who represented the state.
