A person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident. Middle Township Police say that Andrew Doak, 25, of Gibbstown, died at the scene. The accident took place on Sunday around 2:30 p.m. on Route 47 between Hand Avenue and CR657. Police say that a Mercedes Benz driven by Christopher Bruni’s had been stopped, waiting to turn onto Bucks Avenue, when a Mercury Sable driven by Anne Dougherty, 63, of Emmitsburg, Md., hit him from behind pushing both vehicles into the northbound lane, striking a motorcycle. The motorcycle was being driven by Doak.
Six people in total was injured and taken to area hospitals for treatment. No charges have been announced at this time.
