MAN GIVEN 40 YEARS IN JAIL FOR DEALING HEROIN

A man who was dealing drugs was dealt 40 years in jail. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Akbar Malik Salaam, now 59, of Egg Harbor Township was given the sentence regarding the charges of official misconduct and drug offenses in connection with distributing heroin at the All Wars Memorial Building, at which he was employed as the Building Manager with the Department of Public Works. He must serve at least 25 years before parole becomes an option.
