Middle Township Police say it was all a lie. A man fabricated a story of a robbery on Wednesday. 24-year-old Anthony Anderson, from Philadelphia, reported just being robbed by four (4) white males in the area of Game Stop, located in the Rio Plaza Shopping Center. Anderson reported the men robbed him of an undetermined amount of money.
During the investigation, the men were identified and brought to police headquarters for interviews. During the interviews, it was admitted by Anderson that he fabricated the story of being robbed and was ultimately charged with providing false information to police, a crime of the 4th degree. Anderson was released on a summons.
