MAN CHARGED WITH ATTACKING POLICE OFFICER

Middle Township Police arrested a man who provided a false name, resisted arrested, and assaulted a police officer. James Testa, of Upper Township, was having bench warrants served to him at the Economy Motel on Route 9 in Rio Grande when the incident took place on Friday. Charged included Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Hindering Apprehension. He was placed in the Cape May County Jail.
