MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT ON CHILD

An Egg Harbor Township man has been arraigned on sexual assault charges. Steven Chalakee will also faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child. The investigation found that Chalakee allegedly assaulted a female victim, under the age of 13, on various dates, over a period of time. Chalakee is currently lodged in the Southern State Correctional Facility on charges that are unrelated to this matter. Bail was set at $150,000.
