MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING 18 MONTH OLD GIRL

A South Jersey man has been charged with assaulting an 18-month old girl.  33 year old Timothy Montgomery of Manchester was charged before the weekend with child endangerment and aggravated assault.  Authorities say Montgomery assaulted an 18-month old girl in his care in early June, and the injuries required the girl to have brain surgery.  The girl’s mother left her child in Montgomery’s care so she could go to a convenience store.
