MAN CAN'T STEAL CAR, HAS IT TOWED

An attempt to steal a vehicle was unsuccessful, so an Irvington man had the vehicle towed instead. Police in Hillside arrested Oneil N. Swaby for the theft of a blue 1998 Acura Integra on Wednesday. The two truck driver is not believed to be in on the scam. Swaby posed as the vehicle’s owner when he called the company. Swaby was charged with theft of a motor vehicle. He is currently being held in the Union County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
