On June 2, 2010 the Middle Township Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Eduardo F. Cruz (34) of Bayshore Road, Villas, NJ for the sexual assault of an (11) eleven year old juvenile.
Cruz was deported back to Mexico in 2009 and police recently received information that Cruz had returned to the area. Cruz was located on a construction site in Lower Township and was arrested. Cruz was charged with Sexual Assault & Child Endangerment. He was placed in the Cape May County Jail on $125,000.00 bail which was set by J.S.C. Kyran Connor. Cruz also was arrested on a bench warrant out of Lower Township.
This case was investigated by Detective Clint Stocker of the Middle Township Police Department and Detective Dan Holt of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit. The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Unit also assisted with the investigation.
