A Sewell man was arrested on Monday after a three week investigation into complaints made by motorists regarding a suspicious looking “police car” driving erratically on the Atlantic City Expressway. On June 20th, several witnesses reported to the State Police that a green Ford Crown Victoria was forcing cars out of their lanes and attempting to pull them over to the side of the road.
Kenneth DiLuigi, 53, was arrested at his Gloucester County home early this morning by detectives from the NJSP Fugitive Unit and Atlantic City Expressway Barracks after obtaining an arrest warrant from Judge Walter L. Marshall of the Gloucester County Superior Court. Troopers also impounded DiLuigi’s green Ford Crown Victoria equipped emergency lights.
DiLuigi was charged with Impersonating a Police Officer and lodged in the Gloucester County jail in default of the $10,000 bail.
