
Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor
A juvenile was held at gunpoint inside of a motel room in Wildwood. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and Wildwood Police announced the arrest of Michael Weiss. The 19-year-old was charged with criminal restraint, terroristic threats, and aggravated assault. He was placed in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $35,000 bail. He could face up to five years in prison. Police received a call from the female victim that she was being held up inside of a room at the Knoll’s Resort and Motel. The Cape May County Regional SWAT Team, Prosecutor’s Office, and Cape May County Crisis negotiations team were all called in for assistance.
