MALL UPDATE: SUSPECT DEAD OF SELF INFLICTED WOUND

The 20 year old man who fired six shots inside a North Jersey mall last night was found dead inside the mall today of a self inflicted gunshot wound.  Richard Shoop’s body was found inside a room at the Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall early this morning.  Shoop fired at least six shots inside the mall, there were no injuries.  Police say Shoop had a history of drug use and arrests.
