MAJORITY DON’T SUPPORT RAISING GAS TAX IN STATE

A new poll says that if lawmakers want to find transportation funding, voters don’t want it coming out of the gas tax. A Rutgers Eagleton Poll says that 66 percent of the state doesn’t support increasing the gas tax to bring in more transportation funding. This shows a slight decrease from previous polls, but a strong majority still holding to not popping the gas tax. New Jersey has the second lowest gas tax in the country.
