It was a major victory for Wildwood Crest lifeguard Joe Malloy during the National Lifeguard Championships in Cape May on Saturday. Mallow won a championship in a run-swim-run event during the weekend competition. Malloy also captured a third place finish in an iron man competitions as well. The Los Angeles County Lifeguard Association captured the overall title.
