More than a half million dollars in Cape May County open space funding is headed to Middle Township. Township officials announced that the township has been awarded up to $582,000 for a major project at the Ockie Wisting Recreation Complex in Rio Grande, formerly known as Fort Apache. The township has created partnerships for various improvements at the site including a series of trails, a wildlife observation deck, playground, and picnic area.
