The Vineland man accused in a vicious machete attack appeared in court Wednesday for his bail hearing. The judge kept the bail at $1 million for 43 year-old Eugenio Morales, who was in a wheelchair, recovering from being shot by police during his capture. Morales did not have an attorney and entered no pleas to the charges against him, which included attempted murder. His alleged victim, a 41 year-old Vineland woman, has not been identified for safety and privacy reasons. She remains in Cooper University Hospital in critical condition.
