New Jersey Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno met with Cape May County Emergency Management Coordinator Marty Pagliughi, Freeholder Director Gerry Thornton, and other personnel over the Labor Day weekend. Guadagno wanted to find out how much damage to local beaches was done by Tropical Storm Hermine, which lingered off the coast for a few days. NJDEP Commissioner Bob Martin reported to local staff that a fly over was conducted of local beaches; Congressman Frank LoBiondo told officials he will work to secure some funding.
