The state’s second highest official will attend Cape May County’s Tourism Conference. Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno will be the keynote speaker at the conference, as she was last year. This year’s theme is The “New Normal” in Tourism…Understanding the post recession customer. Also, Freeholder M. Susan Sheppard will introduce the new changes in the Cape May County Tourism Department. Director of Tourism, Diane Wieland will discuss the potential of the 2011 summer season with regard to the most recent surveys conducted by the department. Associate Director of the International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Professor Donald Hoover, will present new marketing tools to target the traveling public. The conference will take place on Wednesday, May 4.
