The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the Lower Township Municipal Utilities Authority for possible corruption. Executive Director Matthew Ecker was the subject of a protest prior to last night’s MUA meeting. Over 60 people carried signs criticizing Ecker in a picket line. They claim he retaliated against employees who assisted the county prosecutor’s office during their investigation. The probe alleges misuse of MUA funds and kickbacks for new projects involving solar panels and water pipelines.
