Lower Township officials are urging caution after a vehicle collided with a trash truck. The accident took place on Halloween. David Lepor, general supervisor of Lower Township Department of Public Works, said the accident took place on a cloudy day ruling out sun glare. He is asking the public to use caution driving near trash collection trucks. From 1992 to 2012, 43 workers were killed while hauling solid waste and recycling materials in New Jersey and many more were injured, according to the state Department of Health.
