LOWER TOWNSHIP NAMES NEW MANAGER WITH JIM RIDGEWAY

Mike Voll is out and Jim Ridgeway is in. Lower Township Council voted by a 3-2 margin in favor of making Ridgeway the full-time manager. Ridgeway had been serving in that role on a temporary bases over the past two weeks. Mayor Mike Beck dissented, saying he wanted to see a process that involved taking applications from qualified candidates and then making a decision. Councilman Tom Conrad who voted for Ridgeway said he was the best man for the job and that they were happy to promote from within based on his service to the township. Ridgeway previously worked in the recreation department.
