The Lower Township Council may receive a new member during its meeting on Wednesday night. Council is expected to confirm a resolution that would temporarily appoint a member to Council in Ward 3 until the general election. That seat was vacated by Erik Simonsen, who was elected to Mayor in November. Council may also authorize a grant application for the Beach Drive Pedestrian Safety Improvements Project.
