Roughly $240,000 will be coming to Lower Township to help with improvements at its recreation center. The grant money will be used to complete improvements at the township’s Paul R. Will Recreation Complex that is compliant with the American Disabilities Act (ADA), according to grant coordinator Colleen Crippen. With this Small Cities grant, in conjunction with an award from the Cape May County Open Space Program in the amount of $36,260, the township plans to install ADA accessible playground equipment. Work will also be done for ADA complaint curb cuts, enlarged doorways and an additional accessible restroom.
