LOWER TOWNSHIP FATHER ASSAULTS SON WITH A MAILBOX

Lower Township Police say a local man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his own son..with a mailbox.  Township Police announced the arrest of 53 year old Andy Williamson, who allegedly assaulted his 25 year old son with the mailbox on Sunday.  The incident occured in the 100 block of Locust Avenue and police believe Williamson pulled the mailbox out of the ground and attempted to strike his son with the object.  Williamson was charged with one count of aggravated assault and other lesser charges.
