LOWER GOP SELECTS THREE CANDIDATES TO REPLACE DOUGLASS

Lower Township’s republican organization has selected three names of potential candidates to replace Glenn Douglass on Township Council.  Republicans have picked former councilman Erik Simonsen, former council candidate Brian McEwing, and township resident Jacqueline Henderson.  It is widely believed that Simonsen will be the final selection for the seat.  Douglass resigned his seat this month over a pension issue, but plans to run again for his seat this fall without the party’s backing.
