LOWER GOP ENDORSES SIMONSEN FOR DOUGLASS VACANCY

Three names are going to be presented to the Lower Township Clerk on Wednesday. Lower Township Republican leader Jeff Lindsey told 987 The Coast that the three names are Erik Simonsen, Brian McEwing, and Jackie Henderson. The committee voted to endorse Simonsen, who got a majority of the vote. Glenn Douglass submitted his resignation to council last week in the third ward. Lower Township Council has the option though to choose from either of the three names. No matter who they choose, Simonsen will be the choice to represent the party in November.
