A councilman in Lower Township believes that town could save significant money by switching to solar and wind power.Tom Conrad tells Coastal Broadcasting that he believes the township could save around $100,000 a year by making the switch, Conrad said that he was previously told by one of these solar companies that if the town had panels placed on township hall, the public safety building, the recreation center, and the schools. He was not sure if an offer like this was still available. A green fair is going to be held in conjunction with a Block Party in June, to help promote ways that individual residents can live a healthier life.
