LOWER COPS: ONE DEAD IN APARTMENT FIRE

The investigation continues into a fire this morning at the Channel Apartments that took one life.  Lower Township Police confirmed this afternoon that one person died in the fire; they have not released a gender, age, or identity of the decesased.  Fire officials from three Lower Township fire departments responded to a report of an activated smoke alarm at 12:45am Monday in Hallway “A” of the apartment complex.  The victim was removed from the apartment by rescue personnel and was pronounced dead at the scene.
