An agreement has been reached to end a lawsuit against Martinelli and Remington & Vernick. The township will get $20,000 total; $15,000 from Martinelli, the contractor, and $5,000 from Remington & Vernick. The lawsuit stemmed from the township being fined by the Department of Environmental Protection for not having the proper permits to do work to outfall pipes. The fine was brought down to $20,000 and the money is being made up by the two groups. The township is not being repaid for legal fees it paid during the litigation.
