LOW TURNOUT DESPITE MAJOR SUPPORT FOR GOV. CHRIS CHRISTIE

While Gov. Chris Christie had wide support, it didn’t result in major turnout. Monmouth University Polling Director Patrick Murray said the 38 percent turnout in this November’s election was the lowest for any election in November when a statewide office, like governor or U.S. Senator was being decided. Voter fatigue and many people feeling the race was already decided is a couple of reasons being given for the low turnout.
